Local App Store Success

Hot on the heels of Mobile Lines 1.1 update here comes a certain rise in popularity. As I’m writing this post, Mobile Lines has reached #41 in Top Paid Games and #90 in Top Paid Apps in the Russian App Store.

I’m definitely happy to see it. Granted, the Russian App Store has much fewer customers than that in the United States, so my sales numbers in Russia will hardly have great impact on overall revenue. So what? Thanks to everybody who bought it.

Meanwhile, I still cannot get access to the Sales and Trend reports in iTunes Connect. I have no idea what is going on and why I just can’t get through to iTunes Connect support. The lack of communication with Apple is frustrating. Especially because I can compare App Store with, say, eSellerate. These guys also sell my software, process online payments and, in fact, provide a complete e-commerce solution. They do have quirks of their own, but their service is light years ahead of iTunes Connect.

eSellerate support never fails to reply to e-mails. They respond quickly and always to the point. They send you weekly and monthly sales summaries. They also send order notices with detailed information on each purchase. They have a searchable online database with graphs, affiliate support, configurable discount system and so on, and so forth.

Too bad they aren’t called Apple.

Now, if anybody has a clue why my iTunes Connect page is missing the Sales and Trends Reports module and whom I should bother to get it, please, drop me a hint.
