Mobile Lines 1.1 Update

After a whole week in review the update is finally out. There’s a lot in it.

Bug fixes

  • Fixed a crashing bug when you started a new game with a piece selected, i.e. pulsing.
  • Fixed a cosmetic issue with table cells in the Settings screen. Some of them were drawn inappropriately highlighted.
  • Fixed a lag updating table cells in the Settings tab. They are now much more responsive.
  • Fixed occasional truncation of the Glow/Shadows label in the Settings tab.
  • Double-tapping the board no longer invokes the confirm-new-game dialog. Sometimes the touch sensor registered double taps when you did not intend.

New features

  • New piece type added, called Liquid Drops.
  • New Game button added to the main screen.
  • The shortcut to start a new game is now a two-finger tap on the board instead of a double tap.
  • Added “Play Last Time” option for hopeless addicts. You play for the last time and quit. Obviously, you can always relaunch the app immediately, but then you cheat yourself. Don’t blame me.
  • Added application help and game rules to the all-new About tab.
  • Added the ability to send feedback by e-mail. Also in the About tab.
  • When you abort a game with a good enough score, it is saved anyway.

Improvements

  • Memory footprint is reduced.
  • Better handling of low-on-memory conditions.
  • Application start-up and quit times are improved a little.
  • Total playing time statistics now properly accounts for the device being locked.
  • A brighter icon.
  • Reduced price.

The update is, of course, free for everybody who bought 1.0.
